Adolfo Carrion, Commissioner of the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development, is the guest of honor at the NYC Housing Partnership’s Spring 2022 Wine and Jazz Event on Thursday, June 2.
Dan Martin, Housing Partnership President and CEO, making the announcement, said “We are delighted that Commissioner Carrion will be our guest on June 2. This event is an important fundraiser for the Housing Partnership as we expand our ability to facilitate dynamic partnerships among the City, State and the private sector to build and preserve affordable homes that stimulate economic growth and revitalize NYC neighborhoods.”
The Housing Partnership’s Spring 2022 Wine and Jazz Event will be attended by stakeholders in the City’s affordable housing community. It takes place Thursday June 2 from 6pm to 8pm at the Refinery Rooftop at 63 West 38 Street in Manhattan.
“The COVID pandemic has added to the financial stress of many New York families, increasing the challenge of providing safe and comfortable affordable housing,” said Mr. Martin.
The Housing Partnership is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that serves as an intermediary among public agencies, developers, financial institutions and residents to increase opportunities for quality affordable housing to low-and moderate-income households in New York City.
For four decades the nonprofit Housing Partnership has led relationships among private sector developers and financial institutions and City, State and Federal agencies that created and preserved more than 70,000 low and moderate-income housing units in the five boroughs, leveraging over $7 billion in private financing and utilized more than $500 million in subsidies for affordable housing. This stimulates economic activity that strengthens the social fabric of neighborhoods where people can now live in safe, comfortable, affordable homes.
