Congressman Jim Himes is the keynote speaker at the NYC Housing Partnership’s annual Wine and Jazz Benefit on Thursday November 9 at the Gansevoort Park Rooftop, 420 Park Ave South at East 29 Street, 6-8pm.

The Housing Partnership, a not-for-profit organization, serves as New York City's primary intermediary for the development of new and rehabilitated affordable housing on both public and private sites, creating nearly 60,000 units over 35 years.

“The Housing Partnership has an impressive track record collaborating with our public and private partners to create workforce housing in New York City. Our November 9 event featuring Congressman Himes supports the Housing Partnership’s efforts to expand affordable housing opportunities. This biennial event is attended by developers, bankers, affordable housing advocates and public officials,” said Daniel Martin, Housing Partnership President and CEO. “He will share with us his views on the current political scene,” said Mr. Martin.

Congressman Himes represents Connecticut’s 4th District in the United States House of Representatives where he is serving his fifth term. He is a member of the House Committee on Financial Services, serves as the ranking member of the NSA and Cybersecurity Subcommittee of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and is Chair of the New Democrat Coalition.
