The NYC Housing Partnership has appointed Theresa Omansky, Esq., as General Counsel.
Ms. Omansky has extensive legal experience working on affordable housing transactions utilizing tax-exempt bond financing, tax credit allocations and acquisition, construction and permanent financing.
Prior to joining the Housing Partnership, Ms. Omansky was an associate counsel at the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York (FHLBNY), where she provided legal advice and support on the FHLBNY Affordable Housing Program and to other operational and service departments. Earlier in her career she served as real estate finance associate at the law firms of Emmet, Marvin & Martin, LLP and Robinson + Cole LLP, representing institutional lenders on complex affordable housing financing transactions.
Ms. Omansky received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and earned her undergraduate degree from Douglass College, at Rutgers University.

For four decades the nonprofit Housing Partnership has led relationships among private sector developers and financial institutions and City, State and Federal agencies that created and preserved more than 70,000 low and moderate-income housing units in the five boroughs, leveraging over $7 billion in private financing and utilized more than $500 million in subsidies for affordable housing. This stimulates economic activity that strengthens the social fabric of neighborhoods where people can now live in safe, comfortable, affordable homes.
